Chief Strategy Officer
Dan Schroeder MBA, has 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. Most of those years spent in Hospice and Palliative Care in diverse roles and responsibilities. Enlisting in the United States Army in 1988, Dan spent 11 years providing care to active duty personnel, veterans, and their families in acute care hospital and combat support hospital settings. Immediately after separation from the Army in 1999, Dan started working at a nonprofit hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
During the next 15 years, Dan was in leadership and executive leadership roles in the fields of Human Resources, Clinical Operations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, and Business Development. During this time, Dan was honored to be on the Board of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of the Rockies serving as Vice President then President. Additional community involvement includes the Community Health Partnership Health Information Exchange Committee and serving as a member of the Advisory Committee to the Region 7 Colorado Medicaid Regional Care Organization.
Dan spent a brief four year period working with value based health insurance contracting and leading the operations of four ambulatory care facilities, caring for over 40,000 patients in Southern Colorado. It was inevitable that he would return to nonprofit hospice and healthcare work and we are privileged to have Dan Schroeder as the Chief Strategy Officer at Sangre de Cristo Community Care.
